There are three reliable places to get the right information for your scooter:

1. Unfold and lock the stem. Raise the handlebar column and snap the folding latch fully closed - an unlatched stem is the single most common cause of a wobble or a false error.

3. Power on with the button on the display and check the battery and speed readout.
4. Pair the app over Bluetooth to unlock speed modes and settings.
5. Test the brakes gently at walking pace before riding at speed.

Do this in order and the scooter is ready for a first commute in a few minutes.

Maxshot uses a simple thumb throttle, a brake lever, and a display with one or two buttons. The LED screen is your dashboard - it shows current speed, battery level, the active speed mode and any error code. The quick reference below covers what each main control and indicator does.

Most Maxshot models offer several speed modes (typically eco, standard and sport) that you cycle with the mode button or set in the app. Cruise control, where fitted, holds a steady speed after a few seconds at constant throttle. The quick-fold mechanism drops the stem onto the rear fender in a few seconds so you can carry the scooter onto transit or stow it under a desk. To fold, power off, release the folding lever at the base of the stem, lower the column and clip it to the rear catch. To keep the mechanism safe and the scooter within spec:

• Never ride with the folding latch loose.
• Store indoors at moderate temperature, ideally at around half charge if it will sit unused for weeks.

A budget foldable stays reliable with a little routine care:

• Tyres: keep pneumatic tyres properly inflated; low pressure adds drag and cuts range.
• Brakes: check lever feel and stopping distance regularly.
• Fasteners: re-check the stem and folding bolts, which loosen over time.
